Deepen the Understanding of Banking Agent Operations and Undertake Research Interventions

Ecobank has a cross-country set-up, with presence in 33 countries in East, West, Central and South Africa. This extensive network makes Ecobank one of the largest banking groups in Africa. The assignment in this collaboration will, therefore, be done in two phases. The first phase will cover the identification of a representative from each country to facilitate the exercise in-house. This phase of the assignment will also cover the gathering of administrative data from all 33 countries to facilitate the analysis of dormancy, assessing how it may be linked to the business and demographic characteristics of the various countries. Ecobank has identified the following priority countries for a pinpoint assessment (see Table 1).
